Journee decouveret
Today was the day i got to "discover" my new company. From the presentations it does seem like a very good company in almost every sense. It has a part that has to do with environmental protection because of its size. The most interesting part was the business presentation. The guy who presented the business case for the company did a very nice job to explain what the market in general was and how the company fit into the market. How it was divided between its competition and where it was going
Then i had an appointment for my medical visit this seems to be quite common here in France. But ofcourse since i had to continue my day of "discovery" i mistakenly thought i could go to the medical office around 13:00 (lunch time)
for all those that don't know lunch time is very important in France.
In general Nothing works during lunch. silly me for thinking i could do this during my lunch time. But ofcourse after lunch they had enough time to call my boss and tell them that i did not make it to the medical visit. hahah
So I called back and tried to see if i could do the medical visit now (16:30) the answer was nope and not any time soon. i would have to wait another 2 weeks till i could do my medical visit again.
Carnet de sante
For those of you who don't know again you need to have a carnet of sante, or in general a record of all your vacines and medical visits in a nice little book here in France. Well I don't have one and i really don't ever remember having one. This is mandatory for the medical visit. I tried to explain that i was an american and that this would be hard for me to produce. Luckly it was a nice lady and she said well we'll do with out it for now but try to get it any way, hahah
what i will try to do is contact my University and see if they can give me a copy of my medical records that they have , from reading other blogs etc this seems to be a very good option
